Couple enter not guilty pleas over dog attack on girl in Kirriemuir
ByRichard Watt
A couple charged over a dog attack said to have left a two-year-old girl disfigured have entered not guilty pleas in court.
John and Elaine Towns appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court in relation to an incident in which a toddler was bitten in Kirriemuir on February 27.
Both denied an indictment alleging they owned a dangerously out of control dog that knocked the girl over and repeatedly bit her on the face in their Glamis Road home. Sheriff Gregor Murray heard the case yesterday and set a continued first diet for August 19.
The future of the Staffordshire bull terrier concerned has yet to be decided.
