Police are hunting a man in his 50s who sexually assaulted a young woman on a train in Fife.
British Transport Police is appealing for information following the incident on a train travelling between Leuchars and Edinburgh on Thursday October 22.
The 20-year-old victim was touched inappropriately by the attacker who reportedly also tried to kiss her.
She got off the train at Haymarket and reported the matter to rail and police staff.
The train was the 16.39 service from Dyce to Edinburgh Waverley.
The man is described as being about 5 ft 10in with short grey hair.
He was wearing a round necked light blue t-shirt with a brown long sleeved top underneath and brown trousers.
He had a red tattoo on his right hand and spoke with a Tyneside accent.
It is believed he was travelling on to Newcastle.
Detective Constable David McAlister said: “I am asking anyone who has information which can help identify the man responsible to contact BTP as a matter of urgency.”
CCTV from on the train and at stations will be reviewed in an attempt to identify the man responsible.
