Four cars damaged after lorry has tyre blowout on A90

Four cars collided with a lorry tyre following a blowout on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road this morning.

The incident happened on the northbound section of the dual carriageway near Gateside at around 7.10am.

Police confirmed a lorry seemed to have suffered a blowout and four vehicles collided with the damaged tyre as it lay on the road.

No one was injured during the incident and the vehicles involved made it into a layby as the tyre was recovered.
