Motorcyclist Craig Kaempfe killed east of Milton of Balgonie

A 22-year-old man has died in a motorcycle collision near Glenrothes on the A911 east of Milton of Balgonie.
It is understood the biker later named by police as Craig Kaempfe was involved in a collision with a white van near the crest of a hill, at around 8.45am on Tuesday.
He was taken to Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
A section of the road between Milton of Balgonie and Windygates was closed until about 2pm while officers investigated the accident.
According to a resident, the road would have been busy at the time.
“There’s a lot of traffic and it’s fast along here. Sometimes trying to pull out on to this road in the morning is very difficult but I don’t know what you could do about it.”
