Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace a man from Rosyth.
David McKay was last seen at his home in Torridon Place at around 12noon on Friday.
Since then the 57-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family and concern is growing for his welfare.
David drives a silver Vauxhall Corsa with the registration W454 OFS and it is thought he may have travelled to the Lochcarron or Ullapool areas via the A9 and Inverness.
He is described as being around 5ft 8inches tall of medium build with short greying hair.
Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.
Sergeant Michael Hogg said: “Concern is growing each day for David’s welfare and we are very keen to find him safe and well.
“His family are understandably distressed and keen to ensure David’s safe return.
“I would ask anyone who can assist with our enquiries to contact police immediately on 101.”
