Dundee designers will showcase their talents alongside some of the best in Scotland when the first major interior design exhibition launches in the city.
Scotland Re:designed (SR:D) organisers hope their first dedicated interiors event will become an annual event for Dundee.
Scottish, or Scotland-based, textile, wallpaper, lighting, soft furnishings, furniture designers and interior designers have been invited to exhibit at the inaugural event from October 8 to 10.
Cathy Owen from SR:D said: “When we started looking at doing an interiors-focused event one of our mentors, William Knight, said ‘there’s a lot happening in Dundee’.
“After that everywhere we turned we saw Dundee in the papers, with the V&A and then winning Unesco City of Design.
“We will be bringing buyers from the UK and international market to Dundee.
“Many people don’t realise how much talent comes from Dundee and Scotland.”
The Creative Scotland-funded festival is being run in collaboration with Creative Dundee, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) and the Fleet Collective.
