VV’s Boutique on East High Street was targeted by a man who kicked down the door and took goods from the shelves. The shop’s owner believes more than one person may have been involved in the incident on December 25. Vikki Jeffrey said two pairs of shoes are briefly visible in newer CCTV footage. The 33-year-old said: “You just see two pairs of trainers for half a second at the opening of the door. “I saw two people on CCTV kicking the door in, but only one person came into the shop. “Three names have been submitted to the police.” Footage shows a raider walking into the shop and stuffing a vintage shirt up his jumper. The thief damaged the door of the building at about 1am and returned three minutes later to snatch several items. Officers noticed the door of the shop lying open at 1.30am and called Ms Jeffrey. She said: “The reason I put it on Facebook was to show that small businesses are not willing to put up with that kind of behaviour.” The suspect is in his mid-to-late twenties, 6ft and heavily built. He was wearing a dark jacket and a hooded top with the hood up.
