Nearly 1,000 people have objected to proposals to change the boundary for the Broughty Ferry council ward. A countrywide public consultation by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland was carried out over a 12 week-period. The recommendation to move part of western Broughty Ferry into the East End council ward has provoked a furious response in Broughty Ferry. Figures show 971 residents lodged official objections. The West Ferry Residents’ Action Group has spearheaded the campaign and the final decision will be made by the Scottish Government.
