The man was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after falling from a launch deck at Balado Airfield, near Kinross. Paramedics were called to the scene shortly before 1pm on Sunday. Due to the nature of his injuries, a helicopter was requested from the Ministry of Defence to transfer the casualty to Dundee for treatment. The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Witnesses revealed the pilot was part of a group of hang-gliders visiting Balado for the afternoon.
