Fife couple accused of ‘making a complete mockery’ of high hedges act
ByDave Lord
A Fife couple has been accused of “making a complete mockery” of the high hedges act.
Denis and Maureen Parry hit out after their neighbours in Lundin Links appeared to exploit a loophole in the legislation by cutting down every second tree in a disputed hedge a move they argued changed the boundary from a hedge to a mere row of trees.
Fife Council has now confirmed it will take no further enforcement action, prompting the man behind the high hedges bill to claim the law has been “exploited”.
