An Angus man has been remanded in custody after making a second appearance in connection with a major police operation.
Charles Gardiner, 30, appeared from custody in private at Arbroath Sheriff Court. He first appeared on petition a week earlier, charged with possession and being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Gardiner made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. He has now appeared again and was fully committed and remanded in custody.
Four other people from Arbroath were arrested and charged in connection with the police operation earlier this month, including a 15-year-old girl.
The girl cannot be named for legal reasons and has not appeared since February 15 where she made no plea or declaration in relation to a charge of being concerned in the supply of drugs, and was released on bail.
Appearing alongside Gardiner was Margaret Gardiner, 55, who was charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs. She made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
Kyle McAllan, 23, is charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs and made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
Derek Alexander Smith, 28, faces charges of possession, production and being concerned in the supply of drugs.
He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
