League Cup draw: Dundee United heading for Inverness

A David Goodwillie hat-trick on Wednesday night against Partick Thistle helped United into the last eight of the league cup.
Dundee United face the daunting task of playing Premiership leaders Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals.
The draw at Hampden this afternoon matched the Tangerines against Terry Butcher’s men in a last-eight encounter that will be played in the Highland capital on either October 29 or 30.
On paper, the task should be rather easier for St Johnstone, who will head to Cappielow to play Greenock Morton, the only Championship side left in the tournament.
