Dundee v Raith Rovers: Dark Blues desperate to get back to winning ways
ByIan Roache
Dundee manager John Brown has revealed just how keen his players are to put their Livingston loss behind them.
The Dark Blues have had to wait a fortnight between games because of the Scottish Cup schedule.
That has left the Dens men desperate to get out on the park and banish memories of the 2-1 defeat at Almondvale.
The late goal they conceded to Livi ended their four-match winning run and they were subsequently replaced in second spot by Saturday’s opponents Raith Rovers.
Brown believes his players will take out their frustration on the Fifers.
He said: “I think the players are all still angry from what happened at Livi.
“They have had a while to think about it with no game so they will want to get it out of their system.
“Our incentive is knowing that a win would move us back above Raith and into second place in the table.
“That is all we’re focusing on and by the time Saturday comes around I know my players will be desperate to get going again.”
