Dundee Women’s Festival 2015 has been launched with various events across the city.
It kicked off with the opening of Cameraderie Photography Exhibition at D&A College’s Gardyne Campus, a lesbian, bisexual and transgender photography group exhibition.
Other events were held at the Finmill Centre and Ardler Complex, and cooking events at the Dundee International Women’s Centre.
The festival includes a jam-packed programme running over three weeks with more than 80 different events on offer.
It coincides with International Women’s Day, held annually on March 8 to celebrate economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
As part of Dundee Women’s Festival, Dundee Rep marks the festival with Wellbeing Week from March 21, dedicated to promoting the importance of improving health and wellbeing through creative activities.
The local community will be able to experience the arts and learn new skills by participating in theatre, singing workshops, and finding out what goes on behind the scenes at the Rep.
