The Carnoustie three-year-old, who has the rare MECP2 duplication syndrome, was moved to the high dependency unit at Ninewells Hospital last week. He is battling back after emergency treatment at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. Blake’s mum Jenny posted on social media: “We are all over the moon that he pulled through this dreadful experience. “However, Blake has quite a journey ahead as his stomach isn’t working properly and there are going to have to be lots of changes to how he is fed. “This is very upsetting as he loves his food, but if it is necessary to keep him safe then that’s what will have to happen.”
