St Johnstone defender Brian Easton wants win that will shock rivals
ByEric Nicolson
St Johnstone defender Brian Easton believes a win against Hearts today could be a season-defining result.
With the battle for the top six tighter than its ever been, the Perth full-back knows the significance of getting a result that their rivals will not be expecting.
“Last year we pulled off a surprise win away to Celtic,” he said. “Results like that can really help.
“We are going to Tynecastle in a confident frame of mind. We know it will be difficult but three points would be huge for us.
“Players always say they want to concentrate on their own team’s performance but I look at other fixtures and think rivals might drop points here and there. I’m sure there will be teams thinking we will drop points to Hearts.
“But we got a point up at Aberdeen recently and feel we should have won against Hearts in Perth when they were down to 10 men and we missed a penalty.”
