Dundee v Livingston: Brown impressed by Livi counterpart

John McGlynn has impressed since taking over at Livi.

Dundee manager John Brown has piled praise on the man he hopes to outwit this weekend.

The Dens boss takes his in-form side to play Livingston, another team who have been recording some fine results under the command of John McGlynn.

Richie Burke’s successor is widely respected throughout Scottish football and Brown has not been surprised to see Livingston pick up points in the wake of McGlynn’s appointment.

Brown, whose own players are on a run of four straight wins in the Championship, said: “John has done very well. He has brought great knowledge, workrate and enthusiasm to Livi in the short time he has been there.

“His teams are always well organised and it is no surprise he has turned things around there.

“It is going to be a difficult match for us as you probably have the two form teams in the division going up against each other, although Raith have been going well, too.

“We are certainly in a rich vein of form ourselves at the moment and we want to continue that run by winning the game.”

Meanwhile, Livingston midfielder Ross Docherty, who has been missing since the end of August due to a groin injury, faces another month on the sidelines.

The 20-year-old has endured a miserable season, featuring in only five games and being sent off in one of them, has not played since the Lions’ Scottish League Cup success over Airdrie.
