Pat Clarke suffers ligament damage against Rangers

East Fife expect to see striker Pat Clarke sidelined for several weeks after dislocating his shoulder against Rangers at the weekend.
The forward was forced off the pitch in the closing stages of the Fifers’ loss at Ibrox and looked to be in some discomfort as he was taken away for treatment.
Normally the shoulder would be put back into place as soon as possible but club physio Brian McNeill has confirmed that Clarke suffered a more complex anterior dislocation of his shoulder, which required hospital treatment to try and minimise the damage.
“The Rangers paramedic and club doctor were more than helpful in looking after our player whilst the game continued and I could stay with the team,” McNeill said.
“Pat had the dislocation put back under gas and air but has extensive ligament damage so the player will be missing for a few weeks.”
