Drivers gather for inaugural Memorial Garden Stages Rally in Arbroath

The home of the elite Royal Marines 45 Commando, RM Condor in Arbroath, hosted its first rally at the weekend.
The event follows an approach to base chiefs by Glenrothes Motor Sport Club and has resulted in the inaugural Memorial Garden Stages Rally, named after the Condor Memorial Garden developed as a tribute to the men who have died while serving 45 Commando.
In the seniors’ final, Nigel Feeney and Abi Louden totalled 69:19 over eight stages in a Subaru Impreza 1998cc, with Quintin Milne and Chris Collie recording 69:28 in a Mitsubishi EVO 8 1998cc, and John Marshall with Scott Crawford in a 2000cc Impreza totalling 70:25.
Junior results 1 Finlay Retson and Andrew Falconer (Citroen C1 995cc) 77:50, 2 Ewan Tindall and Paul Hudson (C1 998cc) 80:36, 3 Jude MacDonald and Michael Cruikshank (Nissan Micra 998cc) 81:10.
