ByThe Courier Reporter
Two Dundee men who threatened to cut out another man’s eye have been jailed at the sheriff court after trial.
Dale Reidie, 34, of Spey Drive, and Mark Nelson, 35, of Crichton Street, were jailed for 18 and 15 months, respectively, for their part in the assault and robbery of another man, Graeme Rankin.
The court heard that while acting together, the pair attacked Mr Rankin in a flat on Seafield Road.
They grabbed him, pushed him on to a bed and repeatedly punched and kicked him before choking him.
Reidie and Nelson then presented a “sharp instrument” at Mr Rankin and threatened to cut out his eye.
A jury found the pair guilty.
