The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland has said he is “hugely excited” about his upcoming visit to Dunfermline.
The Kirk has confirmed that the Right Reverend Dr Angus Morrison will be visiting Dunfermline Presbytery, which covers congregations from Lochgelly in the east to Kincardine in the west, from Saturday October 24 to Sunday November 1, and a number of visits are planned throughout his stay.
Dr Morrison said: “I am greatly looking forward to spending time in the Dunfermline Presbytery, meeting many people in church and community, and seeing first hand some of the devoted work being undertaken.”
Dr Morrison is expected to visit the Amazon distribution centre in Dunfermline, take in the construction of the new Queensferry Crossing, and help launch the 125th anniversary celebrations of Cowdenbeath becoming a burgh.
A keen football fan, Dr Morrison will also be the guest of Cowdenbeath FC when they take on Dunfermline Athletic at Central Park on Saturday October 31.
