Husband of pregnant Angus woman murdered in Ghana to be released
ByRob McLaren
A court in Ghana has heard there is insufficient evidence to try a man for the murder of a pregnant Arbroath woman.
Arbroath-born Charmain Adusah was found dead in a bath tub at a hotel in Koforidua on March 20.
Her husband Eric was subsequently arrested for her murder but a report by an attorney general has judged there was not enough evidence to hold him “liable for the death of the deceased”.
Mr Adusah remains a person of interest in the case but will shortly be released on bail.
Charmain’s mother Linda Speirs described the news as a “shock” and said she was concerned justice would not be done for her daughter.
