West End Community Council has consulted with two private security firms in a bid to stop Travellers setting up illegal camps in Dundee. Peter Menzies said they recommended using security guards on frequently used areas such as the Technology Park. However, this could cost more than £90,000 a year. West End councillor Fraser Macpherson said more sites are needed for Travellers.
