A couple who had sex in Dundee city centre only stopped when they were disturbed by police, a court has heard.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard the pair, initially strangers, had both been out drinking in the Seagate when they met on June 7.
By 10.25pm they were spotted on CCTV, both naked from the waist down and having sex in Peter Street, which connects Murraygate and Seagate.
Members of the public walked past the pair but they appeared “oblivious.”
Reece McGregor, 21, of Bennan Gardens, admitted engaging in sexual intercourse with a female in a public place, in view of the passing public.
The court heard McGregor could only be partially seen from the Murraygate, but both he and the woman named in court only as Miss Hodonova were in full view from the Seagate.
Fiscal depute Laura Bruce said: “The accused and Miss Hodonova were observed in the corner near the end of the tunnel.”
A member of the public passed, who looked at them then walked away, then another couple passed.
The fiscal continued: “They appeared to be shocked and one stopped to take a photo.
“Both the accused and Miss Hodonova appeared to be oblivious to their surroundings and passing members of the public.
“Police arrived from the Seagate and shouted to them. The accused moved away and pulled up his trousers.”
They were both taken to police headquarters and when McGregor was cautioned at the charge bar he replied “guilty.”
Sentence was deferred until December 20 for reports.
McGregor was put on the sex offenders register.
