Woman charged after late-night flat fire in Montrose

A 40-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a domestic fire in Montrose on Thursday night.
Fire services attended at a ground-floor flat in Castle Street following reports of a blaze at 11.14pm.
Both local engines attended, and one hose reel was deployed with four breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
The fire was controlled by 11.56pm. It is understood no one was injured.
A spokeswoman for Tayside Division said: “Police Scotland can confirm a 40-year-old woman has been charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
