Appeal to trace owners of cremation urn found by Dundee railway
ByJenny Thomson
A cremation urn thought to contain the ashes of a much-loved dead pet was the bizarre discovery made next to a railway line in Dundee at the weekend.
Now police are appealing for information which could help them reunite the urn with its rightful owner.
A member of the public found the brown urn beside the railway line at Camperdown Junction, near Dock Street, on Sunday by a member of the public who handed it in to the police.
The urn has an inscribed gold plaque on its lid.
Anyone who has information as to who it belongs can call Tayside Division’s Lost and Found Property Office in Dundee via 101.
