The proprietors of a Perthshire pub have been presented with a top honour by the organisation for British beer lovers. The reputedly haunted Bankfoot Inn was named Tayside’s Pub of the Year by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. A delegation from the organisation visited the centuries-old establishment to hand over the award to owners Rab and Susan Wallace. Judges said they were impressed by the quality and range of beer on offer at the village pub. Meanwhile, ghostly goings-on at the venue, including the appearance of a shadowy figure, are still being probed by experts in the paranormal.
