Dundee Rep Theatre has appointed a new associate artistic director. Joe Douglas will join the Tay Square theatre full-time in April for a period of 11 months, until the end of February 2017. During this time the Rep will begin the search for its new artistic director, who will replace Jemima Levick. Joe has worked in Scotland for almost 10 years as a director, writer and performer. Recently he directed the highly acclaimed production of John McGrath’s The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil. Joe said, “I am thrilled and excited to be joining the exceptional team at Dundee Rep. I have loved working at the Rep as a freelance artist over the last few years and feel very at home in Dundee. “The city and the theatre are both incredibly special.”
