Terry Butcher celebrates victory over Hibs' capital rivals.

Terry Butcher has told his Hibernian players to forget their thrilling derby win over Hearts and get ready for the Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United at Tannadice on Sunday.

While the green and white part of Edinburgh remains in celebration mode, the Hibs boss was trying to get his players focused on the trip to Tayside where the visitors have the chance to go to within two points of Jackie McNamara’s side.

“I said to the players to enjoy it a little but that they have to forget this game as quickly as possible because there is only a three-day turnaround before Dundee United,” said Butcher.

“As much as everyone wants to enjoy it, you have to forget about it because there is another game on Sunday.

“We are six behind Inverness and five behind Dundee United. We are looking get points up there to peg them back”

Butcher who is likely to face a hot reception from the home fans for his role in the incident that led to Nadir Ciftci’s controversial red card at his previous club Inverness in October insists he is unconcerned by United’s recent dip in form, which has seen them lose their last three games.

He said: “I am not bothered about United winning or losing, it is always going to be about us as far as I am concerned.

“I think we have takenlittle steps all the time but we are not getting carried away.”

Butcher can see the confidence flooding throughout his team, who have won their last three games and are unbeaten in four.

He said: “We are on a really good run, the best run of the season I think, but we want to make it even better.

“We are in the top six, we want to stay there and we want to build on what we have achieved.”
