The Voice: Family of Fife firefighter Stevie McCrorie urge everyone to ‘get behind local hero’

Kirkcaldy firefighter Stevie McCrorie will have the backing of Scotland as he competes in the final of The Voice tonight.
Millions of viewers across the UK will be glued to their TV screens to see if the 30-year-old father of one can take the title in the talent competition which has gripped the nation.
As former First Minister Alex Salmond became the latest high profile celebrity to back the Alva musician and give the thumbs up to The Courier’s #SupportStevie poster campaign, his family and friends urged people across the country to vote.Follow our liveblog hereStevie’s brother Paul, 33, said: ”Don’t think he is safe as he is the favourite. He needs everyone’s votes. Let’s get behind our local hero and give him his dream.”
Work colleagues from Kirkcaldy fire station and firefighters across Scotland were also amongst those sending good luck messages.
Off duty firefighters will be amongst those watching The Voice live at a private party in Kirkcaldy tonight.
