A crackdown on violent offenders in Dundee has seen more than 30 people arrested by police in little more than a week.
Local officers teamed up with the national Licensing and Violence Reduction Division to target a range of criminals.
The operations focussed on violent offenders and those responsible for drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour.
Through bail and warrant checks and plain clothes operations, the teams arrested 21 people in relation to violent and domestic crime and a further 13 people in connection with drugs offences.
Sergeant Pete Mustard said: “This week has been a particularly successful and I am keen for this type of operation to continue on a regular basis with a view to reducing violence and tackling violent offenders in the local area.
“I would urge the community to report such offenders to the police with a view to making Dundee a safer place for everyone.”
