Thousands of pounds worth of cocaine and a cannabis factory were discovered at the home of a Dundee drug dealer in a police raid, a court has heard.
Mark Dolderer, 45, of Albert Street, admitted supplying cocaine and production of cannabis when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He was jailed for two years for the offences, which resulted in a drugs haul with a potential street value of almost £7,000 being seized from his home.
The court heard police attended Dolderer’s address with a search warrant on April 26 last year and found illicit substances and drug paraphernalia.
Depute fiscal Eilidh Robertson told the court in total 58.29g of cocaine was found, with a potential street value of up to £2,910, along with a room used for cannabis cultivation which could yield profits of £3,840.
She said: “Within the living room they found a snap top plastic bag that contained 3.2g of cocaine, a knotted plastic bag containing 0.79g of cocaine and a larger snap top plastic bag containing a quantity of smaller plastic bags as well as a set of digital scales with traces of cocaine on them.
“Recovered from the pocket of a jacket hanging up in the hallway was a larger plastic bag containing two knotted bags containing 27.1g and 27.2g each.
“One of the bedrooms was locked and there was no handle on the door. Entry was forced and therein was found cannabis cultivation which consisted of eight mature plants along with other associated paraphernalia including heating and ventilation.”
She asked the court for forfeiture of the drugs, equipment and £345 that was found in Dolderer’s wallet during the search.
Defence solicitor Jim Laverty said Dolderer had accepted that custody was inevitable since the search last year.
He said Dolderer was a cocaine user himself and became involved in social supply to his friend. He said the cannabis plants were being grown for Dolderer’s own use.
Sheriff McFarlane told him: “This is a serious matter which you realise and will now accept the consequences for.”
He sentenced Dolderer to 24 months for supply of cocaine and 18 months for production of cannabis.
The sentences will run concurrently meaning Dolderer will serve a total of two years.
