ByThe Courier Reporter
A former senior Girl Guides official who stole money from an 84-year-old man has paid back her victim.
Ann Taylor, 53, went missing days after stealing cash from pensioner Otto Ulstrum at his home in Crieff, Perthshire.
Taylor, who was the Guides’ Central Division Commissioner, admitted stealing £163.28 from Mr Ulstrum on October 21.
Sheriff Lindsay Foulis heard that Taylor, of Lintibert Terrace, Muthill, had made restitution to the pensioner. She went missing in the middle of November after she became aware that police were carrying out an investigation into her conduct. Sentence was deferred until the outcome of other embezzlement matters due to be heard in May.
