Colourful cast at Dundee University games convention
ByThe Courier Reporter
A host of colourful characters were at Dundee University Student’s Association on Saturday to celebrate Scotland’s largest free anime, comics and video games convention.
DOJ-CON participants joined in the fun with film screenings, games tournaments, stalls, exhibitions, demonstrations and industry presentations.
There were also presentations on manga by Sweatdrop founder Hayden Scott-Baron and Korean comics by Hannah Rose, a graduate of the university’s MLitt Comic Studies programme.
Former star of Farscape and the Living Daylights Virginia Hey was this year’s media guest. She drew in the crowds for her special after-hours Q&A session.
Hosted by students and alumni of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, DOJ-CON is a fundraising event, with all proceeds going towards the animation degree show in May.
