St Johnstone have signed Bulgarian defender Plamen Krachunov until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old former Levski Sofia centre-back, who impressed in a trial last week, has already set his sights on helping Saints get back into Europe for the fifth year in a row.
If international clearance is secured Krachunov could feature against Partick Thistle.
He said: “The move has made me very happy because it’s my first move to a club outside of Bulgaria. I hope with the help of the lads we can achieve great things this season.
“My first impressions of the club are really positive.

“St Johnstone are a team who have qualified for Europe in the last four seasons and I will do what I can to help them qualify again.”
Manager Tommy Wright said:”Plaven is an experienced defender who’s very strong, quick and is a good passer of the ball.
“He was due to spend another couple of days on trial but by the weekend we’d made our minds up on him and so we got in touch with his advisors to bring him on board.
“He’s someone I believe can play a part between now and the end of the season.”
Meanwhile, former Real Madrid midfielder Julien Faubert has finished his Perth trial and is mulling over his next career move, with Kilmarnock understood to be one of his options.
