Officers in Fife searched for a man who sparked a police pursuit in and around the Kirkcaldy area on Tuesday evening.
Police in an unmarked car had tried to flag down the driver of a dark Peugeot 306 Estate around 6pm but gave chase when the man thought to be wearing a hooded top failed to stop.
Due to the volume of traffic and the time of night, police were forced to abandon the chase after a short time although several motorists took to social media to complain about the driver’s erratic behaviour in various areas of the town.
It is thought the car may have been abandoned near Victoria Hospital, and officers were carrying out further inquiries to try to track down the man behind the wheel.
