Police were called to a Dundee home to resolve a dispute over a pair of pants.
Officers were called to an address at Arklay Street late on Sunday night to help retrieve a bag of women’s clothes.
It is understood the items belonged to a friend of the resident and were left at the property before a night out but the women had fallen out during the course of the evening.
The Arklay Street resident, a 23-year-old woman who did not wish to be named, said: “Last Saturday night I went out with two of my friends to some bars and then to Liquid.
“One of my friends had left a bag of things at my house trousers, a shirt, some pants, a speaker, a pink pair of heels and some Converse shoes.
“We had a big fall out during the night and her things were left at mine.
“I was unable to get them back to her during the week as I was busy working and it wasn’t the top thing on my mind.
“It has all been blown out of proportion, there has been so much drama over Facebook I had to delete my profile.
“Then the next thing I knew, I got a knock on the door and it was two police officers who had come in a big van. My friend was there too.
“All this drama over essentially a pair of old pants. I could understand if it had been expensive clothing but it was all ordinary things.”
The matter was resolved with no arrests and no further police action will be taken.
The woman said she had been left upset by the incident.
She said: “I think it’s terrible that there are so many big crimes being committed but the police came to my door over this.
“It’s seems like such a waste of time and resources.
“I’m just a young woman and I felt quite intimidated by the whole thing, having police vans there and the neighbours probably wondering what was going on. It caused so much disruption to my evening.”
Police Scotland confirmed that they attended at Arklay Street to resolve a dispute regarding an item of clothing.
A spokeswoman added that the matter was resolved.
