The Dundee Waterfront project is about to reach another major milestone with the opening of new roads and paths.
Drivers and pedestrians will be able to use the grid pattern of streets and pavements on Friday.
Dundee City Council leader Ken Guild said: “This part of the development will have a massive impact on the city because now people will be able to drive and walk on the new streets connecting the centre to the riverfront.
“I called for patience at the start of this contract and I am delighted to say that, in the main, drivers using the area have been understanding and welcomed the phasing of the construction, which meant we were able to keep traffic flowing through what was at times a complex operation.”
The new streets include Thomson Avenue, Riverside Esplanade, Earl Grey Place (East and West), Patent Slip Way, Whalers Way, Black Watch Parade, Waterfront Place, Discovery Plaza and Slessor Gardens.
