The 20-year-old winger parted company with the Tangerines earlier this week by mutual consent. He was asked to come in and train with Rovers by McKinnon and Connolly has now put pen to paper on a contract with the club. His capture is a major coup for the Stark’s Park boss with other sides, including one in the Premiership, keen to sign the former Queen’s Park player. A delighted manager said: “I am absolutely over the moon to have signed a player of Aidan’s calibre. “He will certainly be a valuable addition to our squad. “Aidan is a very creative player and he will gives us something extra. “I think it is great that the club has been able to attract someone as talented as him.” Meanwhile, Raith have released 19-year-old striker Callum Robertson following expiry of his six-month deal.
