Jeremy Corbyn is in Perthshire to try to kickstart Scottish Labour’s Holyrood election campaign and rescue the party from the doldrums.
Mr Corbyn arrived at Perth Concert Hall with Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale this morning ahead of his speech to party members at their autumn conference.
It is his biggest set-piece performance north of the border since Labour appointed him as their leader.
He is expected to call on the Scottish public to back Labour if they are fed up with rising inequality, child poverty and housing that falls short of official quality standards.
His address comes as members are expected to vote on whether to debate the renewal of Trident.
Labour are officially in favour of renewal, despite Corbyn’s support of nuclear disarmament, while there is strong feeling among many Scottish Labour members on there not being a successor to Trident.
