Dundee United are not expected to learn the true extent of Brian Graham’s ankle injury until later this week.
The Tangerines’ striker appeared to have seriously damaged ankle ligaments after falling awkwardly during the 1-1 draw up in Inverness and is understood to have left the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on crutches.
Early indications were that Graham has not broken his ankle but United are having to wait for the bruising to go down before assessing exactly what damage has been done, although he is expected to be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks.
Graham was replaced by new signing Farid El Alagui after being stretchered off, meaning the on loan Brentford forward could well come into manager Jackie McNamara’s starting line-up for Saturday’s trip to face Ross County.
