A woman smashed a mirror over her husband following a drunken row.
Elizabeth Sloan had earlier used the looking glass to apply make-up for a night out.
The 20-year-old had gone out drinking with her other half and friends in Pitlochry but had argued with her husband when they returned home.
Mr Sloan, who attended court with his wife yesterday, suffered a cut to his arm as a result of the incident, which happened on November 1.
Fiscal depute Tina Dickie told the court: “The complainer, the accused and various friends had been drinking in Pitlochry on the night of November 1.
“They all returned to the locus in the early hours of the morning when the accused became aggressive and argumentative towards her husband.
“The argument culminated in the accused picking up a mirror in both hands and striking it over her husband, causing the mirror to smash.
“The complainer raised his arms when the mirror was coming down and as a result sustained a cut to his left arm he was putting his arms up to protect himself.
“Police were called and the accused admitted picking up the mirror and hitting her husband.”
Jamie Baxter, Sloan’s solicitor, said the couple had been married for just over a year.
He said that Sloan accepted she had “overreacted” during the argument.
Sloan had earlier admitted assaulting Jadiah Sloan by striking him with a mirror to his injury at a property in Castle Dubh Loan, Pitlochry, on November 1.
Sheriff Fiona Tait admonished Sloan, formerly of Castle Dubh Loan, Pitlochry.
