Terry Allison, a partner at chartered accountants Henderson Loggie, has died following a long illness, aged 49.
Born in Maryfield Hospital, Dundee, he attended Dundee High School, where he became head boy and house captain.
He played rugby for Dundee HSFP and latterly became the club’s treasurer.
Mr Allison graduated with a first class honours degree in mathematics and accounting from Dundee University before training at chartered accountants Thomson McLintock.
When the firm became KPMG in the early 1990s he moved to the financial department of Tayside Buses, before returning to KPMG in 1996.
He became a partner in Henderson Loggie at the time of its merger with KPMG the following year.
Mr Allison married Shelagh in 1988.
The couple’s first daughter Kirsty was born in 1991, followed by Fiona the following year.
His family said: “Terry continued to work throughout his illness and was very positive and determined to carry on as normal.
“He was a committed family man who enjoyed sport, particularly rugby, and he had regularly attended games at Murrayfield and Mayfield since school.”
Mr Allison is survived by his wife Shelagh, daughters Kirsty and Fiona, brothers Forbes, Glenn and Barrie, and sister Lesley.
