Man charged in connection with serious assault in Dundee

A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday in connection with a serious assault in Douglas.
Police launched a major operation following a disturbance in the Baldovie Terrace area of Dundee at about 11.20pm on Monday night.
A 34-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, believed to be stab wounds, and he was kept in overnight.
Police Scotland is continuing enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and yesterday three blocks of flats in the street were cordoned off.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward by calling 101 or anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
