Families feeling festive converge on Montrose

Montrose Christmas Spectacular lived up to its name as it drew thousands of people to the town during the weekend.

The annual festive event attracted people from across Aberdeenshire and Tayside to its fairground rides and a chance for children to meet Santa.

There were also several stalls at the two-day event which closed the High Street to traffic.

The Spectacular returned last year after a three-year absence with the aim of boosting the area’s economy.

Money raised by Santa’s Grotto will go to worthy local causes.
