Dozens of abandoned animals seeking permanent homes

Dozens of homeless pets are being cared for in an Angus rescue centre.
The Scottish SPCA’s base at Petterden had 31 homeless pets in its care over the festive period.
Centre manager Elliot Hay said: “Thanks to our staff, no animal in our care spent Christmas Day alone and they all got a little treat from Santa.
“Our rescued pets are relying on us as they don’t have anywhere else to go, so it’s not an option for us to close. Young animals won’t be rehomed before January 3.
“Those who are interested in offering a home can come along to meet our pets and they can be reserved during this time.”
