Man charged after Pitlochry incident

A man has been charged after an incident at a house in Pitlochry on Thursday.

Police were called to the usually peaceful community after reports that a man had barricaded himself and three children in a property.

The incident started at around 12.30pm and was brought to a conclusion at around 6.45pm when three children were escorted from the house.

A man then emerged, handcuffed to two officers, some 15 minutes later.

Police say a man has been charged in relation to the incident.
