A man has been left with serious injuries following a two-car crash in Angus.
A blue Peugeot and a silver BMW were involved in the incident on the Forestmuir Wood Road, just off the Kirriemuir to Tannadice Road (B957), at around 5pm on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and Fire Scotland confirmed its teams had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the injured man from one of the vehicles.
It is understood that three other “walking wounded” people were taken to Ninewells Hospital.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, Tayside Division said: “A blue Peugeot motor car travelling south collided with a silver BMW travelling in the opposite direction. While the injuries of those involved are currently being assessed, it is understood a man has suffered serious injuries.”
The road was closed while the crash was investigated and the cars were recovered.
