Forfar Athletic have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Craig Storie from Aberdeen on a short-term deal.
Storie, who does not celebrate his 18th birthday until January, will be with the Loons until December 7.
Manager Dick Campbell said: “He is a good player, I’ve been trying to get him in for a while, everyone rates him very highly.
“I’ve certainly done my homework on him and I’ve been up to have a look at him too. It’s a month-long deal with a view to extending it.
“Hopefully he can come here, reap the benefits and go back to Aberdeen a better player.”
Dons boss Derek McInnes said. “This loan spell will be a good experience for Craig, despite it only being short term. It will provide him with some game time before returning to us for the busy festive period.”
A Glaswegian, Storie turned down the chance of a professional contract with Manchester United, preferring the opportunities offered to him by the Dons.
He has already made his first-team debut against Kilmarnock in 1-0 win in April and has also made one appearance this term, as well as being a regular in the Pittodrie side’s under-20 side.
He trained with Forfar on Thursday and will go straight into the pool for the clash with Brechin City on Saturday.
Joe Shaughnessy, Nicky Low and Jordon Brown have been loaned out from Aberdeen to Forfar in recent times.
