Two young Angus motocross riders have been left distraught after their bikes were stolen during a house raid. The bikes both feature the names of Colin and Robert Smith and were taken from a property at Newton of Glamis on Thursday December 12. Mum Vicky said it appeared to be a professional theft as both bikes were kept well locked up and bolt cutters had been used to remove them. The theft has put the brakes on them competing in events and the family can’t afford to replace the £5,000 bikes which are uninsurable. The family are now appealing for anyone with information on the where-abouts of the bikes to get in touch with the police.
